In 2014, TIAA undertook a major website redesign to enhance the customer investment experience while modernizing the site’s look and feel. It was both an exciting and challenging mission. I partnered with TIAA’s design team to explore multiple design directions and ultimately create a suite of desktop and mobile applications with intuitive guidance to help users complete key investment tasks with ease.

Select Transaction Type
Allows customers to choose whether they want to buy or sell an investment.
Select Investment to Sell
Allows customers to choose the investment they want to sell.
Sell Order Added
Confirms that the sell order has been added and allows customers to either place the order or enter another transaction.
Buy Another Investment
Allows customers to use the proceeds to purchase another investment.
Orders Added
Confirms that both sell and buy orders have been added, and allows customers to either place the orders or enter another transaction.
Order Placement Confirmation
Confirms that both sell and buy orders have been placed and will be processed at market close.
View System Impact
After the planning job is saved, PowerMax uses AI to predict potential future performance impacts on the systems. Based on these insights, users can decide whether to proceed with implementation.

Real Time Transaction Monitoring
As part of TIAA’s major redesign, I collaborated with the design team to create an intuitive monitoring tool for TIAA’s back office. The tool enabled staff to track investor enrollment in real time—showing how investors progressed through the process, how many successfully completed enrollment, and where users struggled or dropped off.
